The school is located on the banks of the Susquehanna River and along the Bald Eagle Mountains in central Pennsylvania. LHU is the first public university to require laptop computers for all incoming freshman and transfer students through its STEP Initiative - which helps to prepare students for a technology-dependent workforce. The university offers students a strong liberal arts education. With over 45 degree and certification opportunities, LHU offers both undergraduate and graduate programs. LHU is respected throughout the Commonwealth for its commitment to international learning and friendship through the LHU International Study Institute, a study abroad and exchange program. There are a variety of clubs, organizations, and intramural sports in which to participate in, along with 14 NCAA Division II and two Division I athletic teams.
