About San Jose City College

San Jose City College's mission is to serve our students and the community by offering high quality, relevant, and innovative instruction for basic skills, career pathways, university transfer, and life-long learning. We strive to accomplish this by awarding certificates and associate degrees to eligible students taught in a multicultural environment where student achievement, successful learning, and social justice are highly valued, supported, and continually assessed. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, California, San José City College has provided an education of the highest quality since 1921. Our new state-of-the-art facilities combined with a distinguished faculty, comprehensive curriculum, small class size, excellent support services, and vibrant campus life make San Jose City College an ideal environment for our international students. Students also choose to study at SJCC because of our strong academic transfer preparation programs which parallel the requirements for the first two years of a four-year university education. Students can transfer to earn a bachelor's degree from outstanding universities at less than half the cost of university tuition.
