About Southwestern Oregon Community College

Southwestern Oregon Community College is a public community college in Coos Bay, Oregon. It is Oregon’s second oldest community college, founded in 1961. Like all college, Southwestern Oregon Community College is an institution to pursue higher education, where students are awarded with academic degrees, specifically; Associate degree the college have their university center that can help with transfer processes. Since, they are two years college they don’t offer bachelor’s degree but they some programs on their campus like the nursing program for example that has a bridge program with OHSU where the nursing students who want a BSN can obtain it through OHSU. Southwestern is a small, forward-thinking two-year college located on the famous Oregon Coast.
